The Community Garden at Sea Call Farm
We’re members of a community that grow vegetables, fruits and flowers on a property owned and managed by the Town of Orleans. We use organic and primarily no-till practices and we enjoy helping one another and sharing in the fun. Check out our About page to learn more.

100-Year Anniversary
Sea Call Farm and its 1921 farmhouse are celebrating a 100-year anniversary. The 6.35-acre property was purchased by the Town of Orleans in 1987 for conservation, open space and recreation purposes. It’s one of only four listed historic properties in Orleans. The home and outbuildings are lived in and maintained by private citizens. We as members are fortunate that we can share in the property’s beauty by working the Sea Call community garden.
Organic Practices
We use only organic practices at Sea Call Farm garden. Non-organic chemical herbicides are prohibited on the property and only organic pesticides may be applied to crops.
We’re working on adding rain water capture for the garden area and most of Sea Call gardeners have switched to a no-till approach with winter cover crops of peas, oats, and crimson clover.
